To facilitate movement when fingerspelling quickly, the index and middle fingers can be kept partially folded, extending out over thumb, instead of folding them completely down.

Description

Little finger and ring fingers are folded against palm. Thumb is folded across to touch ring finger. Index and middle fingers are folded down over thumb. Palm is facing out.
